Bloomberg's new energy outlook 2019 reports that consumer energy decisions such as rooftop solar and behind-the-meter batteries help shape an increasingly decentralized grid the world over.

But space is limited in urban rooftops and storage solutions are still bulky for most appartments, while the current approaches to mini-PV are expensive, inefficient and complex.
